Born and raised in Hershey, PA, Joseph began studying music at five years old. That passion turned into a commitment. Having studied with renowned teachers such as Professor Rochelle Agnew, Dr. Rebecca Billock, Dr. Eric Fung, Professor Doris Lederer, Professor Marika Bournaki, and Dr. Hillary Ridgley, the musical depth that he posseses has given him many opportunities.
Over the years he has participated and competed in many musical contexts; the 2019 Rosalyn Tureck International Bach Competition (Semi-finalist), the 2025 Shenandoah Conservatory Concerto Competition (Semi-finalist), the VMEA Collegiate Recital (2025-2026), the Lancaster International Piano and Chamber Music Festival (2022-2025), etc. He was the co-principal violist of the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. He is also an active chamber musician, accompanist, and educator.
As an educator, Joseph seeks to empower the next generation of young musicians. "Without music, life would be a mistake." These immortal words were declared by the profound philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. It is the aesthetic and experiential quality of music that must be achieved through the lessons. Students will grow in their technique, musicianship, and ability to play with others as a means to experience music for themselves. It is this goal that motivates Joseph to lead students into a life filled with music!
